Maybe it’s a bit of an exaggeration, but in general, I don’t think I’m the only artist who deals with bizarre distractions coupled with an attrition of art supplies. If I had a dollar for every time I had to stop what I was doing to figure out what happened to the stylus for the Wacom tablet, I could buy a new stylus every single day, and while I own literally hundreds of pens and pencils, laying my hands on one when it’s needed can become a bit of an ordeal. Poor Dragon has so much more to contend with.
I have read all 17 Dragon Comics and love all of them. Can’t wait for more. I believe you have an amazing talent for both writing and drawing and pray that someday it will be internationally recognized. I want the shirt where the dragon says “I’ll get better with practice” – better yet, I want it on a tie. The sentiment of the philosopher dragon kind of sums up the credo of my life’s work. I will wear it with pride and tell everyone who comments on it that may daughter created it. Maybe it will even help you sell more shirts. Although, since most of the people that I see on a daily basis are from the orthodox Jewish community, don’t hold your breath. But I would wear a tee shirt with the panel to a Eureka Discoveries Program. That might actually get you some business. Keep on trucking. Eventually someone with the ability to recognize a star and promote her work is bound to take notice.
Love,
Dad
